Bringing the Beauty of Alaska to Your Everyday

About Three Petal Pottery

Three Petal Pottery officially came to life in March 2020, but its roots run much deeper. Iris, the creative force behind the pottery, studied fine arts and ceramics in college, laying the foundation for her artistic journey. Life, however, took her down a different path as she became an electrician with the IBEW, dedicating over 15 years to the trade.

After nearly a decade-long hiatus from pottery, Iris rediscovered her passion in 2015 while living in Hawaii with her husband, Luke. There, she immersed herself in a small clay studio near the base of Koko Head, reigniting her love for ceramics. In 2017, the couple moved back to Alaska, where Iris began assembling the tools and materials needed to create a small home studio.

The vision of Three Petal Pottery truly blossomed in 2020. With the birth of their second child, Iris chose to stay at home, creating the perfect opportunity to focus not only on her family but also on her lifelong love for pottery. Today, every piece crafted at Three Petal Pottery reflects Iris's journey—a blend of artistry, resilience, and the wild beauty of Alaska.
