About Three Petal Pottery

Three Petal Pottery was officially started in March of 2020. Iris went to college for fine arts and ceramics but ended up becoming an electrician in the IBEW after college and spent over 15 years in the trade. After nearly a decade hiatus, the passion for pottery was reignited in 2015 when Iris and her husband Luke lived in Hawaii and Iris got involved with a small clay studio near the base of Koko head. In 2017 they moved back to Alaska and Iris was able to assemble the necessary items for a small home studio. It wasn't until 2020 when Three Petal Pottery became official. After the birth of Luke and Iris's second child, Iris decided to stay at home which has given her more time to focus on family, but also her passion for pottery and ceramics.
